Thanos, Nova & More Rumored For Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite
According to a rumor posted at the Neogaf forums, the following characters are said to be appearing in Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite:
Strider Hiryu X
Rocket/Groot (this is how the character was named to me; I’m not sure if it’s just Rocket Raccoon with Groot assists or a redesigned character actually called Rocket/Groot)
Venom (said to be a DLC)
It's also noted Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite looks to have 28 characters in the base roster and six for first season DLC, and that Capcom's list is apparently missing one character, with it speculated to be Frank West. It's further said this list was created when Marvel had a ban on use of the Fox characters, which now appears to be lifted, so in keeping with the previous rumor, the X-Men may be a part of a future DLC release.
Regarding Nova, Richard Rider Nova was a part of the popular Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 video game and was pretty cool, so let's hope the rumor is legit. In addition, the Marvel Comics editor on the Nova title, Bill Rosemann, is now the Marvel Games executive creative director, so there's another good sign.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will be available September 19, 2017 for PS4, XBox One and PC.
