No Shia LaBeouf For Indiana Jones 5
Good news? Bad News? It's learned following Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull that Shia LaBeouf will not be appearing in Indiana Jones 5.
Screenwriter David Koepp confirmed the news to EW.com stating they have a script they are happy with.
“Harrison plays Indiana Jones, that I can certainly say,” screenwriter David Koepp said. “And the Shia LaBeouf character is not in the film.”
David Koepp also offered that Indiana Jones 5 could start filming soon if Steven Spielberg wants to give it the go ahead.
“We’re plugging away at it. In terms of when we would start, I think that’s up to Mr. Spielberg and Mr. Ford,” Koepp continues, playfully teasing that the plot will involve “some precious artifact that they’re all looking for” throughout the film. “I know we’ve got a script we’re mostly happy with. Work will be endless, of course, and ongoing, and Steven just finished shooting The Post …. If the stars align, hopefully it’ll be his next film.”
Last year also saw Steven Spielberg state he's "super excited" about Indiana Jones 5 and said: "I think this one is straight down the pike for the fans. The one thing I will tell you is I'm not killing off Harrison [Ford] at the end of it."
Indiana Jones 5 has a July 10, 2020 release date.
