Following the disappointments of Inhumans, Defenders, Iron Fist and maybe to a lesser extent, Luke Cage, up next for Marvel TV is the highly anticipated debut of Marvel's Punisher this Friday starring Jon Bernthal.
Now prior to the release, a glowing review hits the net from Boss Logic, the social media account that puts out all that cool fan art.
Check it out:
Can finally talk about it YAY!. I don't want to write too much as I want you all to enjoy for all its glory.
So without further ado... The show starts off relatively slow as was to be expected, however the character building & story telling is for me personally on par, if not better than all the Marvel Netflix originals to date (and that's saying a hell of a lot). I can't mention it enough how perfect @jonnybernthal is as Frank Castle/Punisher.
While there isn't an insane amount of over the top action scenes, I will absolutey commend how good a job the show does at making the major scenes trigger many emotions for the viewer (Some are just oh so satisfying...). All in all the show does a damn fine job of setting up the story arc for S2 and leaves you wanting more, I personally want to give a shoutout to @amberroserevah who stars as Madani.
To the main cast @benbarnes Ebon Moss-Bachrach @[email protected]_annwoll and everyone else, you were phenomenal!
Overall The Punisher is now my equal favourite along with Daredevil S1, can't wait till you guys see it
Marvel's Punisher gets released in its entirety on Friday, November 17th on Netflix.
In Marvel’s The Punisher, after exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children, Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld. Now known throughout the city as The Punisher, he must discover the truth about injustices that affect more than his family alone.
Marvel's Punisher stars Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle; Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, aka Jigsaw, Frank’s Castle’s best friend from his days in the Special Forces, and runs a successful private military corporation called “Anvil”; Ebon Moss-Bachrach will play Micro, a former NSA analyst whose secrets may be of great value to Frank Castle and everyone around them; Amber Rose Revah joins as Dinah Madani, a highly-trained sophisticated Homeland Security agent who is vexed by the Punisher; Daniel Webber as Lewis Walcott, a young veteran who has had a difficult time re-assimilating into Civilian Society; Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle, a friend of Frank Castle’s and one of the few people who knows he is alive; Paul Schulze as Rawlins, a high-ranking member of the CIA whose operations in Afghanistan intersect with Frank Castle; Jaime Ray Newman plays Sarah Lieberman, Micro’s wife whose marriage has made her life far more complicated, and Michael Nathanson as Sam Stein, a Homeland agent who is challenged by his partnership with Dinah.
