It's recently been announced that Warner Bros. is developing a separate DC movie brand not associated with the DCEU Justice League movies, which will feature a Joker origins film not starring Jared Leto, who played Joker in Suicide Squad.
At the same time, Warner Bros. also announced they are developing a Harley Quinn and Joker movie, which will star Jared Leto, but again, not a part of the Joker origins film.
You are not the only one as even Jared Leto is a little bit confused.
Jared Leto appeared for the launch of the new Destiny 2 video game and was asked about the Joker movies, with ODE commenting they are confused.
"Yeah, I think so," Leto said about the Joker movies being in development. "I’m a little confused too. Yeah, there are a couple of things happening in the DC world."
"I love the Joker," Leto continued. "He’s a great character and really fun character to play. But it’s a big universe, and when you play the Joker, there’s no ownership there. You have the honor of holding the baton for a little while and then passing it off. There are other films that are in development, and I’m excited to see what comes from them."
In addition to the Harley Quinn and Joker movie, Jared Leto has also been said to be starring in Suicide Squad 2 and the Gotham City Sirens DCEU female villains flick.
