Good news for fans of the Man Without Fear as Marvel TV has started filming in the highly anticipated Daredevil Season 3!
Signs have gone up around NYC for a film shoot with the working title, "Ringside," which is for Daredevil Season 3. Fans of the character know "Ringside," is an obvious reference to Daredevil's father being a boxer.
While no plot details for Daredevil Season 3 have become known, it's thought it may in part adapt the Marvel comics Daredevil "Born Again" storyline because of what happened at the end of the Netflix Defenders series.
The final episode of Defenders saw Matt Murdock blown up inside a building while trying to save Elektra; however, Matt Murdock was shown to have survived under the care of a group of nuns, with one in particular nun named Maggie (in the comics, Matt's mother is a nun named Maggie).
"There may be elements from 'Born Again,' but I’m sure there will be elements that are unfamiliar and surprising and different in order for the show to be compelling to fans who know the comics very well. If we start making 'Born Again' page-for-page, then the people who have read it and loved it — the hardcore fans — they won’t have too much drama," Charlie Cox told THR back in August.
Marvel TV has also confirmed that Vincent D’Onofrio will return to Daredevil Season 3 as Wilson Fisk, aka The Kingpin, the powerful businessman whose interest in the future of Hell’s Kitchen brings him into conflict with attorney Matt Murdock and his alter ego Daredevil.
Daredevil stars Charlie Cox as lawyer-by-day Matt Murdock turned Devil of Hell's kitchen by night fighting injustice and crime and righting wrongs.
What isn't known about Daredevil Season 3 is where it will air, as there is question if it will return to Netflix or be found on the new upcoming Disney streaming service. If it is the latter, Disney CEO Bob Iger did recently reveal it will be cheaper than Netflix.
Marvel TV's Punisher also debuts this Friday on Netflix starring Jon Bernthal.
