WB, HBO and Damon Lindelof are developing a TV series based on on the Watchmen graphic novel, which has caused may fans to raise an eyebrow or two.
Zack Snyder adapted a movie on the book back in 2009, and the writer, Alan Moore, has been adamant about not wanting anyone to adapt his works.
To add to the tension, Damon Lindelof is known for writing some questionable projects including Star Trek Into Darkness, Prometheus, Cowboys & Aliens, and Lost (questionable according to some fans); so perhaps the worry does have some merit.
Damon Lindelof recently took to social media in an attempt to quell those fears by penning a five page letter about his own experiences with Watchmen as well as offering an insight into his plans for the new television series.
What's rather interesting is that the HBO Watchmen series isn't an adaptation of the graphic novel, but it will be all-new and original. Lindelof also says it's not a sequel and will feature new characters, so what exactly it is remains to be seen.
