Zack Snyder Talks Casting Ben Affleck For Batman Vs. Superman
Batman Vs. Superman Trailer #2
Zack Snyder continues making rounds for the Doritos Super Bowl contest and this time talks with People.com about casting Ben Affleck for Batman Vs. Superman as well as taking that first Ben Affleck Batman photo.
He's an amazing Bruce Wayne, let's just be frank about that. And then when he puts the cowl on, you know he's got the chin for it.
Casting Ben felt like a no brainer to me. I know that there was some backlash, but he's just so perfect to me, especially in his size and his age.
I'm sure once the fans discover it, they'll feel the same way I do. He's certainly got the chops for it, so I didn’t quite get the initial reaction.
I took that picture of him next to the Batmobile. When I looked at the back of the camera to see what it looked like, I was like, 'Holy s---, that is ridiculously perfect.'
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" has a March 25, 2016 release starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg with Callan Mulvey, Holly Hunter as Senator Finch and Tao Okamoto as Mercy Graves. Justice League is to follow directed by Zack Snyder as well.
Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
