There is good news and bad news surrounding Bryan Singer and the recent sexual abuse allegations against the X-Men director.
The good news is that the recent allegations brought on by Michael Egan alleging Singer drugged and abused the then minor have been dropped as U.S. district judge Susan Oki Mollway granted a motion for voluntary dismissal in U.S. District Court in Hawaii on Wednesday.
Egan also dropped sexual abuse lawsuits against former Disney executive David Neuman, former television executive Garth Ancier and Broadway producer Gary Goddard earlier this year.
The court did rule that Egan could refile.
The bad news is that two days later following the dismissal, it is learned the NYPD is investigating Bryan Singer for alleged sexual assault.
The Wrap reports a criminal complaint was filed on May 9th alleging that Singer sexually assaulted a man in his 20s in New York City.
It's stated no charges have been filed against Singer, and Singer's lawyer said they haven't been contacted by the NYPD as of yet.
Another sexual abuse lawsuit was also recently dropped against Singer from a plaintiff in London.
