Evan Peters gives updates for his character in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days Of Future Past with Quicksilver and suggests the character will resemble his comic book counterpart.
Peters describes filming Quicksilver's scenes in which Singer used a 3600 frame-per-second camera, and that the light was brighter than the sun.
It's like the sun. It's brighter than the sun. It's right there in your eyes. But the end result is so worth it. You just power through it.
io9 also asks about the trademark silver hair.
Yes. Yeah. Yeah, it's cool.
Evan Peters also may have slipped that his character has only scenes set in the past as he lets it be known that he didn't have any screen time with Ian McKellan, but did with Michael Fassbender and quickly catches himself.
No, I worked with Michael Fassbender. And he's awesome. He's amazing to work with. I worked with him and Hugh [Jackman] and James [McAvoy]. And… I won't say any more. I worked with all of them. They are awesome. Seriously, the nicest people in the world, couldn't have been more welcoming.
Bryan Singer previously teased a pair of images from X-Men: Days Of Future Past for Quicksilver with a Maximoff mailbox and one of the 3600 frame-per-second shoot.
For those wondering about Quicksilver in Joss Whedon's The Avengers 2, Fox Studios and Marvel Studios can "share" the character as Quicksilver is considered both a part of the X-Men and Avengers franchise. Obviously they are completely unrelated characters with different actors, and Marvel can't refer to their version as a mutant.
X-Men: Days of Future Past has a May 23, 2014 release date starring Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page,ShawnAshmore, Hugh Jackman reprising as Wolverine, returning cast members Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan, with Peter Dinklage as Bolivar Trask.
