It's become known that Bryan Singer will return to direct X-Men: Apocalypse.
Singer recently directed X-Men: Days Of Future Past and was known to be heavily involved with Apocalypse, and now it has become official.
It's stated Fox and Singer have closed the deal which sees Bryan Singer return to direct his fourth X-Men movie, with Simon Kinberg on script duties from a story written by Singer, Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris. In addition, Singer and Lauren Shuler Donner are producing along with Kinberg and Hutch Parker.
In its report, Deadline also mentions details about X-Men: Apocalypse including the movie will feature a young Cyclops, Storm and Jean Grey.
It's said X-Men: Apocalypse takes place ten years following X-Men: Days of Future Past, which altered the timeline and unleashed a new and uniquely powerful enemy. Charles (James McAvoy), Erik/Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Raven/Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and Hank/Beast (Nicholas Hoult) are joined by young Cyclops, Storm, Jean and others as the X-Men must fight their most formidable foe yet: an ancient unrelenting force determined to cause an apocalypse unlike any in human history.
The report also suggests Channing Tatum may be introduced as Gambit, and it has previously been stated X-Men: Apocalypse will feature Nightcrawler.
X-Men: Apocalypse has a May 27, 2016 release and starts production next year.
