After World War Z blasted past all expectations this past Summer and Paramount announced a sequel shortly after the premiere, a director has now been attached with Juan Antonio Bayona.
Juan Antonia Bayona is known for The Impossible and The Orphanage, and the World War Z sequel will see Bayona team with Brad Pitt who returns as Gerry Lane.
World War Z is based on the novel of the same name and debuted last June. Initially the movie was estimated by various Hollywood reps to be a bomb at the box office, but its opening surpassed all expectations raking in over $66 million.
World War Z has brought in over $540 million worldwide.
There is no word about the plot for the sequel as of yet.
