Below you can check out a cool interview between Warwick Davis and Ian McDiarmid coming out of the Star Wars Celebration that took place this past weekend in Germany.
The pair talk about McDiarmid portraying the Emperor for the first time in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi.
Ian McDiarmid says he got the role after having lunch with George Lucas one day, and he didn't even know the part as it was being kept secret. All his agent would tell him is that it was for the "Emperor of the Universe."
McDiarmid and Warwick Davis, aka Wicket the Ewok, talk about the appeal of the Dark Side and portraying a villain has to the fans, as it seems being evil gets the best reaction.
Ian McDiarmid also channels The Emperor as he voices the leader of the Dark Side in relation to Christopher Lee's character from The Clone Wars and gives us that iconic laugh.
No mention is made of Ian McDiarmid reprising as The Emperor for Star Wars: Episode VII, though the actor has previously stated he is interested in a spinoff movie.
