The past two years at Comic-Con, Gareth Edwards and Legendary revealed Godzilla footage with a teaser and more of an extended teaser with actual footage.
The Godzilla Comic-Con trailers have never been released online, and what little if any of the footage that has made its way online has been forced to be taken down by Warner Bros. and Legendary's hired goon squad.
Now an attendee of the Comic-Con has gone and put together a pair of videos that re-create the Godzilla trailers.
Mike Keller offers that the following videos are put together to the best of his knowledge and memory with other fans helping and offering input as well.
While it may not be the real deal, it looks as close to Godzilla footage that we are going to get.
For those not in attendance at Comic-Con, the second video really gives us a perspective how tall and large Godzilla is going to be in comparison to the spider-kaju (note: I've also heard a mantis-kaju was featured, but it's not seen below; they could be one and the same). Gareth Edwards previously mentioned his Godzilla will be the biggest to date.
To the upper right, you can check out a Godzilla movie poster featuring a first look at the monster (update: was asked to replace it, so added a different poster).
Godzilla opens May 16, 2014 in 3D starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, and Juliette Binoche, with David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston. The screenplay is by Max Borenstein, Frank Darabont, and Dave Callaham.
An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.
