Nikola Peltz was previously said to be a part of Transformers 4 back in December, but now director Michael Bay has confirmed the news on his Twitter.
"Nicola Peltz #nicolapeltz #transformers4," Bay tweeted in response to a fan's question about who the new casting announcement would be.
Nikola Peltz is known for her role in The Last Airbender movie as well as stars in the new A&E series, The Bates Motel.
Transformers 4 has a Summer 2014 release also starring Mark Wahlberg and Jack Reynor.
Regarding the plot of Transformers 4, it was just released that the movie will see a powerful ancient Transformer set its sights on the Earth, and that both the Autobots and Decepticons have seemingly left the planet. It was also stated that powerful men were attempting to use the Transformers tech for their own benefit.
Some theorize that the powerful Transformer refers to Unicron, with the tech the humans are creating with the Dinobots.
However, the early synoposis caused Paramount and Cosmic Book News to butt heads, as Paramount contacted us demanding we take it down as it was their intellectual property, in addition to taking down the publically available Autobot/Decepticon Transformers 4 poster.
Further communication with Paramount (and maybe getting the VP of Publicity involved in the converstation) seemed to smooth things over as it was said that the synopsis was not correct (which they could have just told us in the first place).
