While we wait for our first look at Tom Hiddleston as Loki in the Thor 2 trailer next week, we learn that the actor is up for the lead role in The Crow remake.

TheWrap reports that Tom Hiddleston is in early talks to play Eric Draven in Relativity Media's reimagining of The Crow.

It's said that Tom Hiddleston had dinner with the producers and participated in a makeup test with further tests to come as the look of Eric Draven being important to the fans is a concern of the studio.

So assuming the studio is happy with how Tom Hiddleston looks in full makeup, it looks as if The Crow is his.

F. Javier Gutierrez is directing The Crow with a script from Cliff Dorfman, who was responsible for penning Warrior.

Tom Hiddleston can be seen in Thor 2 November 8th.

The original The Crow debuted back in 1995 grossing over $50 million that also saw an accident on set causing the death of Brandon Lee.

The movie is based on the 1989 James O'Barr comic book that sees a musician come back from the dead to avenge his and his fiancee's death.

Numerous spinoffs and sequels of The Crow have been made but have failed to live up to the original.
