The Thor 2 mid-credit spoiler has become known!
As we anticipated, the mid-credit scene for Thor 2 will feature the Guardians of the Galaxy.
I don't have the specific spoiler, just confirmation that it will be about James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
The news actually comes from Thor 2 director Alan Taylor, who oddly enough wasn't a fan of the scene.
Bleeding Cool asked Alan Taylor about the mid-credit scene with Taylor responding, "I wouldn’t blame it on James Gunn."
Taylor must have realized what he said as he quickly corrected himself.
"Er… I wouldn’t attribute it to James Gunn… it’s clearly his sets and his characters…," Taylor said.
Alan Taylor is then asked about the fact he isn't taking responsibilty for it in which he offers he is happy not to.
"I am very happy not to take responsibility for that…," Taylor said.
Seems the Guardians of the Galaxy movie or at least the mid-credit scene is a bit different than Thor 2, which is perhaps why Taylor wasn't such a fan. It also reveals he didn't have a choice about including it.
"It’s a different tone. I would have shot it differently," Taylor offered. "But I think it’s cool that it reaches out and touches that other universe. That universe is coming. The Guardians universe is really cool and wacky… but that sequence in the credits, I would say, is the only part of the movie where I’m happy to give the credit away…"
Kevin Feige also confirmed that the Thor 2 mid-credit scene was shot by James Gunn, and apparently the post-credit scene is something else entirely.
Thor 2 hammers home November 8th.
