Thor 2, "The Dark World," is currently filming a major battle scene in Bourne Wood, England — so major in fact, that Jaimie Alexander, who plays Sif, was injured.
Jaimie Alexander took to her Twitter account to update her fans that she had been hurt.
Today I sustained a pretty horrible injury. I'm lucky I'm not paralyzed. Thank you (with all my heart) to those who've looked after me.
Already in recovery mode and my spirits are high. I'll be back kicking ass as Lady Sif in no time! It can only get better from here on out!
Feeling better today! Speedy recovery taking place! Off to see another specialist. A smile on my face :) Thank you all for the love! XO
Received great news today! Meds are kicking in. Awesome funny nurses here at the hospital. Physio tomorrow. All good. #HappySif #Thankful
From the description, it seems as if Jaimie Alexander may have injured her back, possibly while riding a horse, as we have seen Sif on horseback.
Glad to here she is doing okay.
Robert Downey Jr. suffered an ankle injury recently as well, while on the set of Iron Man 3, which caused production to be delayed a few days while the actor recovered.
Thor 2: The Dark World hammers into theaters November 8th, 2013 directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones), starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Idris Elba as Heimidall, Zachary Levi as Fandral and Jaimie Alexander as Sif, Christopher Eccleston as Malekith the Accursed, Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Kurse.
