[[wysiwyg_imageupload:2432:]] Harry Potter's David Yates has been officially named as the director of the upcoming Tarzan movie, which appears to be the reason why he bowed out of doing the Justice League movie.
According to Vulture, Yates is set to meet with a few up-and-coming actors for the role, one of which is said to be the new Man of Steel Superman, Henry Cavill.
Henry Cavill recently finished filming Man of Steel and looks to begin work on the Great Wall of China mystery thriller, The Great Wall, which is said to be in pre-production with a 2014 release.
In addition, there has been mention of a sequel for Man of Steel as well as Henry Cavill appearing as Superman in the Justice League movie, which has a 2015 release date.
Among the other actors also said to be up for the role of Tarzan are Pacific Rim's Charlie Hunnam, True Blood's Alexander Skarsgård and Tom Hardy of The Dark Knight Rises.
If Henry Cavill does indeed play Tarzan, he would need to squeeze it in by next Fall if the rumor that the Justice League movie will begin filming in September is true.
