Michael Shannon appeared on the UK television show "Soccer AM" and spoke about playing Zod in the upcoming Superman reboot, the Man of Steel.

Shannon says that it is a little intimidating playing Zod, and that he saw the original with Terrence Stamp which was really good. When asked if the outfit is similar to Stamp's Zod, Shannon flat out responds, "No." (We've seen a couple different pics here and here)

When the Phantom Zone from the Donner movies is brought up, Michael Shannon says, "That it is gonna be a little different, too. It's all gonna be a little different."
