Before we get to that though, Amy Adams again mentions the different take on her character, this time mentioning the hair color.
"This was a new idea, down to the hair color. I knew people would want to talk about my hair color. It was going to be a thing," Adams told USA Today while promoting her upcoming movie, The Master. "[Director] Zack [Snyder] told me he didn't hire me to play someone else. He hired me to play Lois Lane. It's a whole reimagining."
Amy Adams continues, again mentioning Margot Kidder from the Richard Donner classics.
"I grew up really loving [her]. I wasn't trying to be her, but I hope I do enough of a good job to have the same effect on young girls as Lois Lane had on me. I really loved seeing a woman represented as a modern woman in a superhero movie, and not even glamourized, really -- she was kind of a troublemaker. She wasn't a typical heroine. I identified with her from a very young age," Adams said.
Now this is where things get interesting. You will note how Amy Adams mentioned her Lois Lane as a "reimagining," and we've also heard her say it will be a different take. Adams mentions she hasn't seen any Man of Steel footage, but offers she wields - something - in the movie.
"I haven't seen it. I haven't seen any footage. It's intense. Henry worked his tail off as Superman. It's different for me. A lot of running. I hold a laser taser of some sort," she said.
Now we don't half as much expect Lois Lane to use a taser on Clark Kent in the Man of Steel a la Thor, but will Amy Adams be battling Zod and Faora side by side Superman? And we have previously heard about advanced Kryptonian weaponry.
And speaking of her hair, here are some shots of Amy Adams on set.
