James Cameron confirms that Stephen Lang will be back in the Avatar sequels.
The director told Deadline the news about Lang returning.
“Steven was so memorable in the first film, we’re privileged to have him back,” Cameron said.
Just how Lang will return remains to be seen as the 2009 movie seemed to feature Lang's demise.
“I’m not going to say exactly how we’re bringing him back, but it’s a science fiction story, after all," Cameron offered. "His character will evolve into really unexpected places across the arc of our new three-film saga. I really look forward to working with such a gifted actor, who’s also become a good friend.”
Stephen Lang played Colonel Miles Quaritch, head of RDA's on-planet security. Below you can check out video of his "death."
The sequls for Avatar go into production next October with release dates set for December 2016, 2017 and 2018.
