Stephen Amell more than likely won't be featured on the big screen along side Batman and Superman, which is a shame as Amell has been the face of DC for the past few years.
While DC might have missed the boat, how about Marvel?
In Stephen Amell's latest Facebook video, the actor offers he would consider doing a Marvel role and even says he wouldn't turn it down.
"Sure, why not? I'm up for roles - movie roles - although I've never really read Marvel Comics, and I was always a DC guy even before I was a DC guy. But it's not like if I got offered an awesome Marvel superhero, I'd be like 'No, I can't.'"
Just off the top of my head, Richard Rider Nova came to mind. With James Gunn launching the Marve Cosmic side of things with Guardians of the Galaxy, how about Stephen Amell playing Nova? Nova actually helped launch the Guardians of the Galaxy comic as the character was featured in the stellar Marvel Cosmic event back in 2005/6 with the fan-favorite Annihilation story. Marvel Comics followed that up with the 2007 Nova comic, which then saw another Annihilation event and Guardians of the Galaxy.
I actually wouldn't mind seeing Marvel put out a more serious Nova movie (than Guardians) directed by someone like Ridley Scott, Matt Reeves, Joseph Kosinksi or Rupert Wyatt. Maybe even JJ Abrams?
Amell talks Marvel at around the 7-minute mark below.
