Disney launched their own version of the insanely popular Activision Skylanders game with Disney Infinity last August which has sold more than 3 million copies worldwide.
Now it's become known that versions of Star War and Marvel are not too far off as a report at the Wall St. Journal mentions the latest Disney billion dollar acquisitions.
New versions of "Infinity" featuring characters from Disney's Marvel superhero unit and the Star Wars universe it acquired along with Lucasfilm in 2012 are being developed, one of these people said.
In Disney Infinity, players can place real-world toy versions of favorite Disney characters onto a device called the Infinity Base and transport them into the virtual game worlds of Monsters University, the Incredibles, Cars, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lone Ranger and Toy Story, as well as into a giant Toy Box.
Disney Infinity is currently available in stores now for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Wii and 3DS.
