Star Trek's Zoe Saldana In Talks To Play Gamora For Guardians of the Galaxy Movie

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:6547:]]No stranger to cosmic, it's being reported that Zoe Saldana is in talks to play the female lead, Gamora, in the James Gunn-directed Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

Of course, Zoe Saldana is known for playing Uhura for the J.J. Abrams Star Trek movie as well as Neytiri in the Avatar films.

THR reports Zoe Saldna would join the cast of the Guardians of the Galaxy which includes Chris Pratt as the film's lead, Peter Quill Star-Lord, and most recently Dave Bautista as Drax The Destroyer.

Zole Saldana's character in the comic books was the adoptive daughter of the Mad Titan Thanos, the post-credit villain from The Avengers movie.

Recent Guardians of the Galaxy movie news includes a batch of new concept art and video with James Gunn describing the Guardians as cosmic kick-ass warriors.

The Guardians of the Galaxy movie has an August 1, 2014 release.
