[[wysiwyg_imageupload:6010:]]An international screening of Star Trek Into Darkness was held which revealed 40 minutes of the film.
Some details have made their way online, which give specific information on various scenes.
The prologue is shown that was previously released, but with more footage.
Spock gets stuck in the Volcano and if the lava doesn't kill him the freeze blast that's supposed to stop it will; so the decision is made to leave the ocean where the Enterprise is hidden. Of course, in doing this, Kirk violates the prime directive as the natives see the ship.
This causes Kirk to get in trouble as he lies in his report to Starfleet, but Spock does not. Kirk gets demoted back to the Academy and Captain Christopher Pike gets the Enterprise.
The scene with Harrison in the hospital saving the daughter is shown with Harrison having some sort of medicine with mention of a ring. Seems the ring also contains explosives and Harrison goes to another building(?), a library, and into the basement where he puts the ring and it explodes.
Kirk is getting drunk as he's been demoted, but Pike shows and says he convinced Star Fleet to make Kirk his first officer.
Peter Weller is revealed to be playing Admiral Marcus, thought to be the father of Carol Marcus (played by Alice Eve).
John Harrison is sited by name as being responsible for the attacks in London.
As Star Fleet and Kirk are having a meeting about the attacks -- Harrison blasts in! Senior officers are killed, mayhem ensues and Harrison teleports out.
Then the Enterprise crashing scene is shown, which takes place later in the movie. Spock is the acting captain and asks everyone to abandon their posts, but Scotty and crew refuse as if the Enterprise falls on civilization it would be catastrophic. So Scotty and Kirk make their way to engineering in an attempt at diverting the ship. Many people die and the scene concludes with it looking like the Enterprise has crashed.
Spock vs. Harrison in San Francisco! It's another scene which seems to show Spock is in pursuit of John Harrison through the streets of SF.
The report says there are no hints that Benedict Cumberbatch is Khan, but a theory is that he might be some sort of Vulcan, seeking revenge after the events of the first film.
It's also said that John Harrison is most likely not the real name as it seems Harrison assumes the identity of a Star Fleet officer to gain access and deploy the bomb.
Star Trek Into Darkness has a May 17th, 2013 release date in 3D, is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Chris Pine as Capt. James T. Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock, Karl Urban as Leonard "Bones" McCoy, Zoe Saldana as Nyota Uhura, Simon Pegg as Scotty, Anton Yelchin as Pavel Chekov, John Cho as Hikaru Sulu and Benedict Cumberbatch as an unnamed villain.
