Check out what director J.J. Abrams revealed at the MTV Movie Awards - a Klingon from the new Star Trek sequel!
Yesterday during the MTV Movie Awards a parody video was shown which featured Abrams talking about archery coach Lester Boonshaft. As you can see from the pic and video below, in the background is featured a "new" character.
Not really "new" — because a similar looking character appears in a deleted scene from the 2009 Star Trek movie — a Klingon!
I suppose we really don't know for sure if this image of the Klingon will appear in the Star Trek sequel, or if this is just more of Abrams' Vulcan mind games — but we can hope!
The as-of-yet unnamed Star Trek sequel has a May 17th, 2013 release date in 3D, is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Chris Pine as Capt. James T. Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock, Karl Urban as Leonard "Bones" McCoy, Zoe Saldana as Nyota Uhura, Simon Pegg as Scotty, Anton Yelchin as Pavel Chekov, John Cho as Hikaru Sulu and Benedict Cumberbatch as an unnamed villain.
