Sounds Like Michael Fassbender Is Not Returning For X-Men
Hugh Jackman looks to be done with Wolverine; Jennifer Lawrence has stated she is not returning; Nicholas Hoult said similar statements, and now it's learned Michael Fassbender likely will not be back for more X-Men.
"I'm not sure," Fassbender responded, when questioned about his future with the X-Men franchise. "I presume they are talking about contractually. All of us sort of signed on for a three film deal. So we'll just wait and see what happens after this."
Fassbender did stated he would be interested in more.
"Always interested in moving forward."
The current speculation is that following X-Men: Apocalypse, Fox will reboot the franchise or pass the torch using younger versions of the actors.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" has a May 27, 2016 release directed by Bryan Singer starring Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, Ian McKellen, Rose Byrne, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp and Oscar Issac.
