[[wysiwyg_imageupload:5895:]]I think this is the third "scoop" to hit the net as of late that's been shot down.
First, there was Harrison Ford "confirmed" for Star Wars, which has been shot down three times, now.
Then, there was Jason Momoa being offered Drax in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, which was shot down shortly after it was announced.
The latest is in regards to Marvel Studios plans for a Phase 2 and "The Avengers 3" Planet Hulk and World War Hulk movies.
Yep: "1000% inaccurate."
Not my words, but two sources told AICN that the Hulk stuff is all nonsense.
They point to the obvious - as we are guessing the source of the original never read the comics - and that is that Bruce Banner isn't a part of either of the above mentioned Hulk stories.
Which would obviously mean no Mark Ruffalo, though he is signed on for a six picture deal. So that really makes no sense.
AICN was told specifically:
the scoop was "1,000% inaccurate"
couldn't get either source to spill on Marvel's specific plans for a standalone Hulk movie post-AVENGERS 2, but I'm told that Ruffalo-as-Banner will be an integral part of that film. After two false starts with Banner, Marvel is thrilled with Ruffalo. The last thing they want to do is reduce his role. Sure, they could have Ruffalo play Hulk in mocap, but the Banner element would be gone - and this evidently is important to Marvel.
So it looks as if all that's been scooped -- is a bunch of BS.
