Lead Game Designer Will Jennings-Hess offered Marvel.com the following about Surfer's abilities:
His Blue ability, Perfect Being, represents those scenes where a huge crowd of super-powered folks are hammering on the Surfer and he comes through without a scratch. He uses the Power Cosmic to heal himself, and creates Charged tiles to help his teammates. Plus, if he has this power, he can’t be stunned, a first for a playable character.
Cosmic Beam, his Red ability, is about those blasts he shoots from his hands. It does damage and creates Charged tiles.
What are all those Charged tiles good for? Silver Singularity lets you place a black hole on the board that sucks in the tiles around it, dealing damage and generating AP for all the tiles sucked in.
Silver Surfer becomes available September 10th with two more five-star characters planned for October and November.
