The latest issue of Empire Magazine features Deadpool on the cover with a featured article on the movie as well as Ryan Reynolds.

Of course, Ryan Reynolds also played Green Lantern for Warner Bros. back in 2011, which is considered a flop; Reynolds offered the following about working on the film:

"That's the only time I've traversed into that mega-budget territory, and it was a slightly terrifying place to be," Reynolds said. "You really need a visionary behind a movie like that, but it was the classic studio story: "We have a poster, but we don't have a script or know what we want; let's start shooting!"

While Reynolds also admitted it was "frustrating," at the same time he said Green Lantern "afforded me a lot of opportunities," and Reynolds did meet his wife, Blake Lively, on the set.

We also saw the recent Deadpool trailer make light of Green Lantern with mention of not wanting to make the Deadpool suit green or animated (and Reynolds himself recently joked about GL), and while speaking with Empire Magazine, director Tim Miller comments on Deadpool breaking the fourth wall and Green Lantern.

"Does he know he's a comic book character in a comic book movie? Does he know that Ryan Reynolds is playing him, and that Ryan Reynolds also played Green Lantern? It's a big rabbit hole, and we explore it pretty deep. Deadpool breaks the fourth wall. Wade Wilson never does," Miller offered.

The article also contained the following graphic (article text omitted) with Deadpool making fun of Green Lantern.
