We learn a couple tidbits about Ronan and Nebula in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie from a photographer who happens to be a friend of someone who took official images of Lee Pace and Karen Gillan.

Fans weren't exactly sure which way James Gunn was going with Ronan in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie as previous information seemed to indicate the director is going for more of an Ultimate Comics approach to the character where Ronan is Thanos' son and has brownish-colored skin in the comics. In the movie it's been said that Ronan works for Thanos, but at least now we know he will feature the blue tone he is known for in the regular Marvel Universe. The photographer even states Ronan looks cooler than Thanos did in The Avengers movie mentioning Nebula, as well.

Can't believe I just got to look at official production still from Guardians of the Galaxy of Ronan and Nebula. I can't describe how cool they look and how much it made my day! The costumes look so amazing, Lee Pace is going to be amazing as Ronan, he looks even cooler then Thanos did in Avengers!... He has a lot of prosthetics on his forehead & chin but you can tell it's his face, his skin is a similar blue color to Mystique in the X-men films! Unfortunately I don't have the pic, I saw it in a friends portfolio who was Woking on the film!

The "Guardians of the Galaxy movie" has an August 1, 2014 release directed by James Gunn and starring Chris Pratt as Peter Quill Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax The Destroyer and Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Benicio Del Toro as The Collector, Michael Rooker as Yondu, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Lee Pace as Ronan, Djimon Hounsu as Korath the Pursuer, with John C. Reilly as Rhomann Dey, Glen Close as Nova Prime, and Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket Raccoon.
