Ron Perlman has been taking to the social networks to garnish support for a Hellboy 3.
Even though director Guillermo del Toro recently let it be known no movie studios appear to be interested in making the third Hellboy at this time, Ron Perlman says he isn't giving up and the only thing that can stop Hellboy 3 from ever happening is if he's six feet under.
“I guess the only cutoff point is when they actually close the box," Perlman said, reports Slash Film. "If you don’t see me get up and go, ‘Hang on, I was kidding,’ then I’m still ready.”
Perlman does admit he isn't big on actually returning to the character as the makeup is a pain, but Perlman does state they owe it to the fans to finish the franchise they started.
“Let me make the record clear,” Perlman said. “I don’t want to do Hellboy 3. It’s a pain in the ass to put that makeup on and take it off. But I feel we’re obligated to finish the story. That’s it. End of conversation.”
Perlman continued with mention though there may be no current support, he doesn't plan on giving up on Hellboy 3.
“I got no problems with forcing the conversation, as you can tell,” Perlman offered. “We’re in the business of moving mountains. Those of us who are used to working in mainstream film and television. Don’t come to me with details and problems. Just tell me how we move the mountain.”
