Review: Green Lantern: Emerald Warriors #11
I guess we will have to wait for the conclusion of the "War of the Green Lanterns," but while we do, Tomasi and Chang give us a fun "one and done" story featuring Guy Gardner.
While the story is predictable, Tomasi writes Gardner in such a way that is entertaining, and offers enough to hold your attention for the entire issue.
Gardner is on his way for some leave time when he is notified by the Corps about an emergency distress call. There he encounters an alien beauty, betrayal - and death!
However, these particular aliens made the mistake of messing with the wrong Guy (pun intended). Gardner shows us just why he is a tough as nails SOB, and gets right to the punch (pun intended).
Chang does a really nice job portraying the many different alien species, the outer space battle scenes, and gives us detailed panels full of cosmic mayhem.
This issue is a fine addition to any Green Lantern fan's collection, but not a must read by any means. Still, this should be enough to hold you over until we finally get the conclusion to "War of the Green Lanterns."
