The latest confirms that Ray Fisher will play Cyborg in Batman Vs. Superman, a standalone film and two Justice League movies.
Fisher actually tells EW.com he didn't even know he was getting a standalone Cyborg movie when he signed on, just that he was excited to be a part of the coming DC cinematic universe.
“I didn’t know the extent to which DC and WB had planned on taking my character. When I signed on, I just wanted to be part of this world. But that specific information, I found out then and there. I didn’t think I’d be getting my own stand-alone film.”
The article states that Ray Fisher wrapped his role in Batman Vs. Superman this past July and while on set met fellow Justice League actors Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) and new Batman Ben Affleck. It's said Fisher also bonded with Jesse Eisenberg, who is playing Lex Luthor, and has yet to meet new Flash Ezra Miller and Superman Henry Cavill.
"I met everyone in the Justice League except Henry Cavill and Ezra Miller. It was surreal. You get this idea of going to work on a Hollywood set as being really stressful and nerve-wracking. But it blew that stereotype away. If they did have stressful times, it wasn’t while I was there.”
Fisher also added his thoughts on working with Zack Snyder.
“Let me tell you, man, people are in for a hell of a treat.”
The Cyborg movie has a 2020 release date.
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" has a March 25, 2016 release starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg with Callan Mulvey, Holly Hunter and Tao Okamoto in new character roles for the film. Justice League is to follow directed by Zack Snyder as well.
