Cosmic Book News first met screenwriters Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton at last year's NYCC where we interviewed the duo, in addition to writer Stephen Romano, about their supernatural horror novel, Black Light.

Dunstan and Melton are known for working on the Saw horror franchise, the Feast series of movies, as well as Piranha 3DD.

And they also worked on a "little" known upcoming movie — re-writing the script for Guillermo Del Toro's sci-fi robot monster movie Pacific Rim.

Now Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton have been tapped by Universal to re-write the script for the God Of War movie, which is based on Sony's hugely popular video game series (Via THR).

God of War is about the Spartan warrior turned god known as Kratos whose desire for revenge against the gods of Olympus outweighs just about everything else. The game is filled with all guys of blood and mayhem — so Melton and Dunstan should be right at home.
