It's being reported that Oscar Isaac has been cast as the titular villain in X-Men: Apocalypse.
Oscar Issac will play Apocalypse when the movie gets released May 7, 2016, according to Variety.
Bryan Singer is returning to direct, and Simon Kinberg is writing the script.
Previous casting rumors are suggesting that Chloe Moretz and Elle Fanning are up for the role of a young Jean Grey, as well as roles for a young Storm and Cyclops are being sought.
It's also been suggested Bryan Singer will feature Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender at the forefront of the movie in order to take advantage of their star power.
Singer recently stated X-Men: Apocalypse "will have more of the mass destruction that X-Men films, to date, have not relied upon,” adding in regards to Apocalypse, "There’s definitely now a character and a story that allow room for that kind of spectacle."
Oscar Isaac is also starring in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
