Now Robin Mentioned For Batman Vs. Superman With Drones
Possible new details for Batman Vs. Superman that may or may not be true come from a tweet by a Warner Bros. producer mentioning not only Robin but controlled drones as well.
Daniel Alter, producer on Hitman and The Apparition, tweeted he can't wait for the movie with the following details.
"Can't wait for Batman vs Superman. [Ben Affleck Batman] semi-retired/not speaking to Robin anymore...Controlling drones from the batcave," read the tweet.
"Not speaking to Robin anymore" more than likely means Nightwing as previous rumors mentioned something similar. It was rumored that Nightwing is to be featured in the movie, not having spoken to Batman in years, with actors already said to be up for the role.
Regarding "drones from the batcave," that doesn't appear to be going over well with the fans online. Perhaps Alter leaked the information intentionally to get a fan reaction, but it does sort of fit with what WB CEO Kevin Tsujihara stated about the Batman in that he will be a tired and weary seasoned veteran. But Batman sending out drones? Guess we'll have to wait and see.
"Meh, that's just DC One Million crossed with TDK by Miller. Could work but could be awful," read one less than enthusiastic tweet from a fan.
Comic book fans will note that Batman used robotic drones in the Kingdom Come 1996 Alex Ross and Mark Waid Elseworlds mini-series to police Gotham.
"Batman Vs. Superman" has a July 17, 2015 release also starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
