Well, AICN spoke with Bryan Fuller about the new Munsters TV series, which is going to be called "Mockingbird Lane," with Fuller mentioning just that.
The pilot to "Mockingbird Lane" is being directed by Bryan Singer, and Fuller explained that both he and Singer have talked about doing a Star Trek TV Series.
Here's the blurb:
By the way, Fuller tells AICN exclusively that the two Bryans, who have long (but separately) contemplated new “Star Trek” TV series, have discussed the possibility of pooling their resources to take a new corner of Gene Roddenberry’s multiverse to the small screen. Hopefully J.J. Abrams and Les Moonves will give them the keys to Starfleet HQ.
Fuller is no stranger to the Star Trek Universe as he previously wrote and co-produced for Deep Space Nine and Voyager, in addition to writing for Heroes as well as Pushing Daises. Of course Bryan Singer is known for X-Men: First Class and a host of other good movies and shows.
Sounds like the Star Trek TV Series will be in good hands if it ever gets off the ground. Here's hoping.
