Well, that didn't take long.
Joining the likes of Steve McNiven, Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness it looks as if another hyped-up powerhouse is not sticking around for very long with Neil Gaiman.
With the news of Angela appearing in the Guardians of the Galaxy, Neil Gaiman was solicited and promoted as the co-writer.
Brian Michael Bendis has even stated he would let Gaiman co-write the book for as long as the writer pleases.
It turns out not that long - or not at all - as Marvel has updated the solicit info for Guardians of the Galaxy #5 listing Gaiman as a "consultant."
Newsarama reported the news:
Marvel has recently changed the solicitation copy for the issue, officially naming Brian Bendis as the issue's sole writer and Angela co-creator Neil Gaiman as a consultant, whereas the were originally solicited as co-writers.
Retailers already placed their orders based on Neil Gaiman co-writing the series as issue #5 comes out this month. Hopefully, they don't get too burnt by the solicit change.
Another interesting aspect of this is that is seems that Angela won't be sticking around Bendis' Guardians of the Galaxy, either.
