Some new rumors surrounding Star Wars: Episode VII have hit the net as it's stated Michael Fassbender and Hugo Weaving are up for roles in the J.J. Abrams-directed movie.
The bigger story, however, may be with Michael Arndt's script getting a rewrite, the direction of the movie seems to have swung from focusing on the next generation to focusing more on the original characters with Luke, Leia and Han Solo (which would mean more Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford). The reason for the new direction is stated to give fans one last send off using the originals before the new generation is introduced.
It's said Hugo Weaving is up for the role of an Imperial Commander.
Just yesterday saw Breaking Bad's Jesse Plemons rumored for Star Wars: Episode VII as well.
Another rumor contained in the report is that Abrams is looking for a younger female actress to possibly play the daughter or granddaughter of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Star Wars Episode VII has a December 18, 2015 release with the script from J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan.
