You knew it was going to happen sooner or later.
Marvel is going to begin offering their comics day and date digital, meaning for sale on their digital app the same time physical copies can be found on-sale in local comic shops.
According to the tech site, Gizmodo.com, Marvel will begin doing day and date digital on individual titles based on the storylines with the full line available come March 2012. The only titles exempt from the digital release are the Stephen King Stand comics and the Max imprint.
It's most likely not coincidence that the news came out today, as Marvel is holding a "Next Big Thing" Live Blog in about ten minutes, which you can follow along with right here.
We'll update accordingly.
