picIGN got a special sneak peak at the quarterly Disney magazine, Disney twenty-three, that included an interview with Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige.

Feige was asked what's next after The Avengers hits in 2012 and mentioned the Marvel Cosmic U.

"Thor will go off into a new adventure, and Captain America will continue to explore the modern world in another film of his own. We hope that holds true for the characters appearing in that film — Black Widow, Hawkeye, and the spy organization, S.H.I.E.L.D. —all of whom are more than worthy and capable of carrying their own films. And, we've got a lot of other characters we're prepping and getting ready for film debuts: the world of martial arts, these great cosmic space fantasies, Dr. Strange, and the magic side of the Marvel Universe. There are many, many stories to be mined."

Feige has previously mention the Guardians of the Galaxy - wonder if that will be a part of it?

Also, wonder if this is the reason for Marvel Comics recently canceling their cosmic line, which included Guardians, and are rebooting for when a new Marvel Cosmic movie hits?

The Avengers hits May 4th, 2012 and is directed by Joss Whedon, starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.
