[[wysiwyg_imageupload:2432:]] Coming out of the Toronto Fan Expo we heard news about a Man of Steel comic book to tie into the new Superman movie that debuts next June.
DC Comics co-publisher and superstar artist Jim Lee and Batman writer Scott Snyder are said to be the super creative team behind the Man of Steel comic book.
Jim Lee has already been announced to be departing Justice League, and while nothing has been really mentioned about Scott Snyder, the writer may have teased something Superman with a picture of himself from Disney Land.
Now, DC's Senior Vice President of Sales Bob Wayne and Vice President of Marketing John Cunningham once again mention the Man of Steel.
They previously didn't deny the Man of Steel comic book when questioned, and now they say there are plans in conjunction with the movie, but don't state specifics.
"Every time that our colleagues at Warner Brothers release a feature film based on one of our properties, we work with them to maximize the attention we can get for our publishing program," Wayne told Newsarama in an interview about DC's dominant September sales. "When Man of Steel debuts in June, next summer, I think you will agree that we have done quite a bit to get people's attention to remind them that there's a movie coming up, and remind them that we publish comic books every week. So we've been having those conversations literally for over a year."
