[[wysiwyg_imageupload:1921:]]Malcolm McDowell recently appeared at the HeroComplex Film Festival and had a lot to say!
He appeared to discuss Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange and mentioned both The Avengers and Star Trek.
Seems McDowell is not a fan of The Avengers movie as well as Star Trek, and the actor isn't afraid to speak his mind.
Regarding The Avengers movie, McDowell calls it “mindless crap.” While he does say it was a fun movie, and he took his three boys along who enjoyed it, McDowell says The Avengers all looked ridiculous. And who was this Captain America who comes off the streets and is from the 40s?
Seems all in good fun as Malcolm McDowell says The Avengers movie was brilliantly done. Maybe just not his cup of tea.
On to Star Trek, McDowell says that J.J. Abrams finally made a good one with the 2009 Star Trek.
But what about the Trek movie, Star Trek: Generations, that saw McDowell star along side the two captains, Kirk and Picard?
McDowell offers that he did fans a favor by being the one to kill off Captain Kirk, which "released this whole thing" with J.J. going on to make a good movie.
And he says they were fun times, but goes on to say how many of these things can they do, and you have "Patrick Stewart spouting off at the mouth for 40 minutes."
"You find that exciting, go watch paint dry," McDowell added with a smirk.
McDowell then realizes this is going to be on the internet and says, "I keep forgetting about this f-ing internet."
