A week or so ago advanced tickets went on sale for Iron Man 3, but now ticket sales have been pulled by major theater chains.
Regals, Carmike and AMC have stopped selling Iron Man 3 tickets over a dispute with Disney, which sees Disney trying to renegotiate the studio’s future terms with the chains.
Deadline reports that Disney hasn’t negotiated its terms with the movie chains in several years, so Disney thinks it’s due for a new overall deal on future Disney titles which also includes future Marvel Studios movies as well as the upcoming Star Wars movies.
Currently taking place in Las Vegas is the CincemaCon, a convention for theater owners, where it's said negotiations are taking place, but from the sounds of things they don't seem to be going that well as the major theater chains have decided to stop selling Iron Man 3 tickets until an agreement is reached.
A resolution is quickly expected.
If worse came to worst and you already purchased your Iron Man 3 tickets, most likely you would get a refund.
Currently, 17 days remain until the premiere of Iron Man 3.
