It's been a mystery in regards to which character Mackenzie Gray will be appearing in the Man of Steel as it only recently became known that the actor will be having a role in the movie.
Gray tweeted an image of himself next to a Superman suit (right) and spoke on camera about it.
The odd thing was that Gray kept referring to the role as a "what" and not a "who."
Rumor sprung up that Mackenzie Gray was playing Lex Luthor, but that appears to be not true.
It was also thrown out there that Gray would be playing Braniac or a Braniac-like Kryptonian robot.
Now we know the exact character Gray will play in the Man of Steel - and it's none of the above.
Mackenzie Gray will play the Kryptonian scientist Jax-Ur.
If you recall, back in May of 2011 our DC Entertainment Source told us Jax-Ur would be featured in the Man of Steel in an early script. We were also told about the bus crash scene that has been featured in all the trailers and that LexCorp would be seen in the skyline.
Word comes about Gray's role as Jax-Ur from an image from a Man of Steel book that has been popping up all over.
Man of Steel opens June 14th in IMAX 3D directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman and Michael Shannon as Zod.
