Kiersey Clemons Upset Over The Flash Director Departure
Three days ago saw word hit that director Rick Famuyiwa had departed his Flash movie over creative differences (something now being said about Ben Affleck's Batman movie).
Rick Famuyiwa is known for directing the Sundance Film Festival hit Dope and brought on his Dope star Kiersey Clemons in the key role of Irist West in The Flash.
Now THR reports Kiersey Clemons is upset by Famuyiwa's departure from The Flash, and rightfully so.
"Rick was one of the main reasons I wanted to do the movie," Clemons said. "So him not being a part of it is obviously very upsetting to me."
The good news is that it's been reported Kiersey Clemons will retain her Iris West role in The Flash and has also been said to have filmed a Justice League movie cameo.
"All I can do is give it up to the gods. Let's see what happens. Let's see who's going to jump in," Clemons added. "Ezra and I are going to do what we promised to do from the beginning. No matter who the director is, I am going to do what I think Iris should be."
The Flash movie is currently without a director, and it's been said both the start of filming and release date may be moved back as a result of Rick Famuyiwa's departure from the project. As it stands, The Flash has a March 16, 2018 release.
