Kevin Feige Confirms No Natalie Portman For Thor 3
Now Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige confirms Natalie Portman won't be in Thor 3 while appearing on an Empire Online podcast.
"I can confirm that, yes," Feige said, who went on to explain there are "many reasons" for Portman's absence and suggested it has more to do with the plot of Thor: Ragnarok than any possible rumors suggesting Portman has been at odds with Marvel ever since Patty Jenkins was let go from directing Thor 2. "Many of which are in the film so you will see that. There are only a couple of scenes on Earth in this movie. 80 to 90 percent takes place in the cosmos."
Feige also continued on with mention Thor: Ragnarok will be more set in space.
"Tonally and geographically there are a lot of different planets outside of the nine realms that we visit in Thor: Ragnarok," Feige said.
Thor: Ragnarok has a November 3, 2017 release directed by Taika Waititi also starring Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk and Cate Blanchett is the rumored villain (possibly Hela).
