It's been a while since we heard anything related to the Guillermo Del Toro Justice League Dark movie, but the director now offers that it is still in development.
Last month saw news of a Constantine TV series being developed for NBC, which apparently will not put the breaks on the movie.
Speaking with IGN, Guillermo Del Toro offers Justice League Dark "is still active" and can co-exist along with the Constantine TV series.
We talked about it at DC and Warners, and I feel confident that the two properties can exist at the same time. I think that DC is trying to create a great universe of characters, and expand it and make it clear to the audience that it’s a landscape of characters, and not just one that’s dependent on one or two characters.
Last we heard about Justice League Dark was that Del Toro is waiting on a certain writer (speculated to be Batman Vs. Superman writer and the Constantine TV series scribe David Goyer), and the report offers a small update in that the movie is still be written, but doesn't have a full script.
Some previous tidbits for Justice League Dark include that it will feature some of the more supernatural characters from the DC Comics including Constantine, Deadman, Swamp Thing, Etrigan and Zatanna. Guillermo Del Toro even offered The Floronic Man could be a villain.
