[[wysiwyg_imageupload:5150:]]As fans saw at the end of The Dark Knight Rises, Joseph Gordon-Levitt had taken up the Batman mantle as his character, Robin John Blake, discovered the Batcave.
This immediately led to speculation and rumor that Gordon-Levitt would be playing Batman in the next Batman movie or even cameoing in the upcoming Superman Man of Steel movie, that by all accounts, is spearheading a DC Comics shared movie universe.
Now MTV caught up with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and confronted him about the rumors; however, by the sounds of it, it's just not true.
"I hadn't heard that one," Gordon-Levitt said about the Man of Steel Batman rumor. "It just goes to show how you should believe rumors. It just goes to show how you shouldn't believe any of them. If there’s something I’m going to be in, I’m going to tell you. I put it on my Twitter that I was in Sin City 2 before, so trust me I'll tell you.”
Gordon-Levitt will also be starring in Sin City 2 and was recently rumored for the lead role of Star-Lord in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, which he apparently passed on.
Man of Steel opens June 14, 2013.
